Remuco is a duplex remote control system for Linux media players and mobile devices equipped with Bluetooth or WLAN. With Remuco you can remotely control your favorite media player - amongst others you can switch to the next, previous or any other media within the current playlist, browse your media library and activate other playlists, rate your media and adjust volume. On the mobile (the remote control) it displays information about the current media, including cover art.

14 May 2008 - Debian packages available for Ubuntu Hardy

Ubuntu Hardy users can now install Remuco from an APT repository (thanks to a Launchpad).

12 May 2008 - Remuco 0.7.1 Released

Release 0.7.1 eases the handling of the server and basic player proxies (e.g. Amarok, MPD, Totem). Basic player proxies now get started automatically by the server. Further this release brings a new tool to control the server and to get status information about the server.
The changes relate to the server and the player proxies for Rhythmbox and XMMS2. The Remuco client is not affected - for the client, release 0.7.0 is still the latest one.

27 April 2008 - Remuco 0.7 Released

We are happy to announce the release of Remuco 0.7.
Some bright new features:
  • Nested playlists
  • A new and easy way to add support for new media player: Basic Player Proxies
  • Simultaneously control multiple media players
